With Panchakarma you can benefit in the following ways:

  • Eliminate toxins and toxic conditions from your body and mind
  • Restore your constitutional balance by improving health and wellness
  • Strengthen your immune system
  • Reverse the negative effects of stress on your body and mind
  • Slow the aging process
  • Enhance your self-reliance, strength, energy, vitality and mental clarity
  • Bring about deep relaxation and a sense of well-being
  • Implement positive lifestyle changes

Our Panchakarma program starts at 7-nights and 6-days of treatment (there is no treatment the day or arrival and the day of departure), having said that, it is not uncommon for people to do 2 and even 3 weeks of Panchkarma in a row. Also, please note that our program starts 2  weeks prior to your arrival with 3 zoom calls.

Arrival – Sunday between 4-5pm. No later than 5pm. Departure following Sunday before 11:00 am.

The closest airport is the Asheville Regional Airport which is only a 43 minute – 23 mile drive through the beautiful town of Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains and we recommend that you take an Uber from the Airport to SoHum. Alternatively you can use https://avlhopper.com/

We accept a 50% deposit at the time of reservation, and the remaining balance would be charged after your Design Call (two weeks prior to your arrival) along with your accepted additional treatments. There are no refunds after this time.

It is not infrequent that people have their menses during panchakarma even if it isn’t their normal cycle time because Panchakarma supports a strong cleansing process. In situations like this, the Panchakarma will continue as normal with the exception of postponing specific therapies, namely the purgation and basti’s. Those two are postponed until the flow lightens (generally 3-4 days). Part of the post-panchakarma process is often to continue the basti’s at home once a week for four weeks and so it is not uncommon that participants who need to postpone their enemas just continue at home. All supplies needed to do so are easy to provide from the center prior to your departure.

You sure can. Please feel free to download our Spa Menu

Tipping is optional and it is typically between 15% and 20%. If you want to put the tip on your folio to be charged to the Credit Card on file, we have a list of the therapist and a section for “other” that you can write in the name. Then the team will distribute based on how much you wish to leave.

Our Living Wisdom Membership was specifically designed to help support your healing journey way beyond your visit to SoHum. Our membership includes:

  • Weekly Live immersions with masters, thought leaders and guides
  • Week long guided immersion each month. Includes cleanses, yoga, pranayama, nutrition.
  • Access to AyurPrana Foundational Courses
  • Replay access of all live sessions
  • 1:1 Practitioner Chat during Connect hours
  • Access to AyurPrana+ App
  • Living Wisdom Community Group in the AyurPrana+ App
  • Full Moon meditations / Solstice and Equinox events
  • Early access and discounts to special events and the AyurPrana Village (SoHum Mountain Healing Resort, Asheville Yoga Center, AyurPrana Listening Room, Ayurvedic Institute)

810 Elk Mountain Scenic Hwy, Asheville, NC 28804

The package price includes accommodations, food, all background classes and workshops, daily check-ins, herbal support, one color therapy and daily whole body serenity treatments (abhyanga, swedan, and shirodhara). There may be additional treatment recommended during your design call which is not included in the package price and any herbs that you want to purchase to continue at home are not included as well.

She was blessed with the opportunity to study under Vasant Lad, MASc at The Ayurvedic Institute where she completed her formal studies in Ayurveda and Yoga. Nishita is passionate about sharing these sciences, and is excited to continue this at SoHum, both as an instructor with our various programming and supporting clients with their Panchakarma. She also currently teaches at The Ayurvedic Institute as the lead yoga instructor, supports the yoga training programs at Asheville Yoga Center, and sees Ayurvedic clients with AyurPrana. Evan Reinhold, LCMHC-A

Evan is a licensed therapist with a focus in Somatic, Jungian, and Transpersonal approaches to health and healing. He trained at Pacifica Graduate Institute and completed the two-year comprehensive Hakomi program – a somatic approach to therapy, grounded in mindfulness.

In his approach, Evan listens to the in-between spaces that hold what is not spoken but still present, helping to recognize and shift old narratives that may be keeping you stuck. Usually, this involves a process of identifying and befriending what blocks you from being in alignment with your whole Self. Evan combines his experience from Hakomi, depth psychology, and shamanic healing – tailoring it to respond to each person and their unique needs.

Sean Sigmon, SoHum Mountain Healing Resort's Head Chef

Chef Sean Sigmon

Sean Sigmon is a renowned vegan chef whose culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in his connection to the land and his spiritual journey. Raised in the heart of North Carolina, he honed his skills at his family’s restaurant, “Siggy’s,” where he learned the art of Southern cooking from a young age.

Sean’s passion for plant-based cuisine blossomed alongside his interest in Eastern philosophy, which he first encountered at a young age through his interest in Joseph Campbell world religions. This early exposure to the wisdom of the Vedas and Upanishads profoundly influenced his worldview and his approach to food.

A  practitioner of yoga, Sean completed his 200-hour teacher training and deepened his understanding of holistic well-being at the renowned Kushi Institute. His time at The Art of Living in Boone, NC, where he served as Executive Chef, further enriched his spiritual journey, allowing him to reconnect with his meditation practice and explore the healing principles of Ayurvedic cooking.

Inspired by his agrarian mindset, Sean believes that true health and happiness are inextricably linked to the quality of our food and our relationship with the environment. He is committed to sourcing local, organic ingredients and showcasing the vibrant flavors of seasonal produce. His dishes are a testament to his respect for farmers and the hard work they put into the land, reflecting a deep connection to the natural world.

Beyond the kitchen, Sean enjoys playing the drums and experimenting with woodwinds. He finds inspiration in the beauty of nature, art, and music, and is deeply grateful to be back in the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by such profound beauty.
